We lay like that for a while, not able to move, not wanting to move, until he pulled out of me, and rolled over onto his back, panting, his eyes wide in disbelief. He pulled me into the side of his body, his fingers tracing tiny circles over my hip as I lay pressed into his side, my own breathing starting to calm. He kissed the top of my head, sending fireworks off into my heart. “You are so amazing,” was all he said with a sigh.
I bit my lip, smiling uncontrollably. “You’re pretty damn amazing too.” His arm wrapped around me tighter, sweat dripping down our bodies. Sterling looked over at me, a wicked glint in his eyes, as he smirked down at me, he threw the blankets over us in a swift motion, pulling me under the covers. His hands found their way to my sides and as he tickled me. Laughing, I squirmed beneath his touch.
“Ahh!” I squealed, as he roared with laughter.
He suddenly stopped and I sucked in a deep breath, finally able to breathe. His smile lit up his face as he looked down at me. “Ready to go again?” he raised his brows suggestively, pulling the blankets down from our faces
I giggled, wrapping my legs around his waist, pulling him towards me. “Definitely,” I whispered against his lips, pulling him into a kiss.
This time was slow and sweet, his movements gentle as he kissed me like I meant the world to him, it was beautiful. We moved in sync, every curve of my body was where his fit perfectly, it was like we were two halves becoming whole.
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered, sitting up slightly so he could watch me fall apart in his arms.
Everywhere he touched was like electricity through my veins, and I couldn’t get enough. I smiled up at him, running my hands up his muscular chest and around his shoulders, pulling him back towards me and kissing him gently.
I was so glad our bungalows were so far from the others, otherwise someone might have heard us. He rolled off me, pulling me against his chest, his heart pumped wildly against mine, my eyelids grew heavy, until they closed and I drifted off to sleep in Sterling’s warm arms, the sea breeze swirling into the open doors and the soft sounds of waves lulled me to sleep.
***
The sun beamed against my back, a stirring from beneath me. My eyes slowly opened, and I blinked back the brightness in the room, as the fogginess started to lift from my brain. I was wrapped in sheets on the comfiest bed, Sterling lay beside me as my leg draped over his body, his arm tightened around me. I gazed up at him, he was awake and staring down at me with a smile. He leaned down, pressing his lips against my forehead.
Looking out the door at the blue water and the way the sunlight hit it, reflecting off the water with a shimmer, the sound of the water lapping at the stilts of the bungalow, a slight breeze coming through the open doors.
I lay my head against his chest, nuzzling into him. Turning to smile up at him, I caught him smiling down at me. Reaching up, bringing his face to mine, I kissed him.
“Good morning,” he mumbled against my lips.
“Shh!” I demanded, pushing him back on the bed, straddling him, our naked bodies flush against each other as our kisses became much more needy, desire rushing through my body, making my skin heat up. His hands roamed my body, sending electricity through every touch, my hands roamed his flesh.
His arousal pressed into my centre, and I reached down between our bodies to guide him into my centre as I lowered myself onto him. He watched me as my head tilted back and I moaned. He grabbed me pulling me down into a kiss, as my hips rolled back and forth. He flipped us over, so he was on top, pushing into me harder and harder. My hips bucked as my thighs shook and I fought to hold on. I cried out in ecstasy, feeling release at the same time he did.
“You’re so bad,” he told me with a smirk, kissing my nose.
I giggled, biting my lip. “I couldn’t help myself,” I admitted.
He chuckled, pressing his lips to mine quickly. “I’m glad.”
We lay in silence for a while. The sound of our breathing, the water lapping the stilts, it was magical and just for us. Sterling stood up, walking to the bathroom and I admired his back as he walked away from me, and his perfect ass. I heard running water in the bathroom, the sound of a bathtub being filled, after a few moments it turned off and he walked back out, lifting me up in his arms. I squealed in delight, wrapping my legs around his waist. “What are you doing?” I asked him.
He placed a kiss on my shoulder, not replying, as he carried us into his ensuite, stepping into the tub, sitting down with me in his lap. The warm water washed over us, and he grabbed a cloth, dunking it in the water a few times then proceeded to rub it along my back, a shiver sent up my spine.
When my body was wet, he put some body wash on the cloth, gently pressing the washcloth to my back as he washed it. He brushed the washcloth over my shoulders, breasts, stomach, he grabbed my leg, lifting it up out of the water, causing me to fall backwards and laugh. He ran the washcloth over my toes, tickling them and I couldn’t help a giggle as I tried to tug them free but he just smirked and continue running it up my leg and calf, covering every inch of my body in foam, then he rinsed it off.
I took the washcloth from him, sitting on his lap and began washing his body, biting my lip, he growled low in his chest. I continued running the washcloth all over him, rinsing the bubbles off.
Sterling grabbed a large towel, wrapping it around us and headed back into the bedroom where he ravished me completely.
We couldn’t keep our hands off each other and I didn’t know how we were ever going to leave this room, but I also didn’t want to, because in the bottom of my stomach was an increasingly growing pit, that worried that if we did he would go back to ignoring me.
“We should really get some breakfast,” Sterling spoke softly as he stood on to put some clothes on, he wore boardshorts and a black tank top.
I pouted up at him, my eyes widened as I gave him my best impression of the face Anna gave to Isaac yesterday. “I don’t want to ever leave,” I implored.
He grinned. “Me either, but we need to eat,” he told me, leaning down to press a kiss to my lower lip. My stomach growled and he roared with laughter. “If I have to, I’ll drag your ass back to your bungalow and get you dressed.”
I wriggled, biting my lip with a grin. “Please do,” I replied, lowering my voice seductively, winking at him.
Suddenly he reached down and threw me over his shoulder, smacking my bare ass, I shrieked with laughter and he carried me out of the bungalow, and dropped down into the lagoon with a splash.
Our bungalows were hidden up the back, and while we were in the water no one would be able to see us unless they were inside our bungalows, or swimming, but nobody was. My heartbeat pounded as he walked the short distance to the ladder of my bungalow, and he carried me up onto the deck, into my open bedroom and placed me firmly on my feet.
I groaned, rifling through my drawers, pulling on black bikini set, showing off my ass, putting on a white lace cover-up dress, a large black straw sun hat and some sandals. Turning to Sterling, wrapping my arms around his neck, stepping forward. “I need to ask something,” I told him, biting my lip nervously.
“What is it?” he asked, his brows furrowing, and mouth turned down in confusion.
I gulped, taking a deep steadying breath as my heart thumped wildly. “Are you going to go back to ignoring me?” I asked, looking into his eyes to gouge his reaction.
Pain flashed in his eyes as he looked over my face, his eyebrows raised slightly. “I couldn’t,” he replied, lifting his hand to brush my cheek. “You’re stuck with me.”
I smirked. “Oh really?”
He smiled down at me. “Definitely.”
With that he took my hand and led me out of the bungalow, letting my hand go at the threshold and we walked in silence to a tiny restaurant, with a massive buffet in the centre of the room, my mouth watered and I realised how hungry I was, the monster writhing beneath my flesh as my fangs ached to burst free.
Sterling walked off, leaving me fo
r a moment but returned with two cocktail glasses filled with red liquid as I started filling my bowl with mango, banana, muesli and yoghurt, he passed me the cup, I took a long drink as the taste of blood and alcohol filled my mouth. I moaned. “Where did you get that from?” I asked. “I had been wondering where to get blood.” I whispered the last part.
Sterling laughed. “You didn’t read the welcoming pack, did you?” he asked.
I raised my brows at him. “Obviously not,” I replied.
A sigh escaped his lips. “If you did, you would’ve known to order a Bloody Mary at the bar.”
Laughter bubbled up my throat. “Really?” I asked him, unable to hide my smile.
“Yes,” he looked at me, his brows knitting together. “Have you not had blood since before you got here?”
I looked up at him innocently. “Maybe.” I bit my lip.
He shook his head chuckling as he started to fill a plate up for himself, adding eggs, bacon and hash brown, I followed him to a table in the corner of the room, sitting down and eating in silence, sipping on my bloody cocktail. The taste hit my mouth, pulling another moan from my mouth. Sterling looked at me, smirking. “If you keep moaning like that, I’ll have to drag you back to the bungalow,” he whispered
I bit my lip and giggled, wriggling in my chair. “Do it then,” I whispered back challenging.
“What are you doing here with Professor Blackthorne?” A voice asked.
My head snapped up to Anna standing there with Isaac by her side, her brows furrowed and a frown, I quickly turned to Sterling, my eyes widened and gulped, he was looking at me as if we had just been busted.
Plastering a fake smile on my face and turning back to Anna. “I saw him sitting here all by himself and thought I’d keep him company,” I told her innocently.
Sterling cleared his throat. “Yes, and it’s been riveting,” he told her, sarcasm lacing his voice.
“Oh,” Anna replied. “Well, we’re just leaving.” She shrugged.
“Have fun,” I yelled to her as she walked towards the door. Once she was out of earshot, I blew out a shaky breath. “Fuck! That was close.”
Groaning, Sterling ran his fingers through his hair. “It was,” he replied, looking conflicted.
I bit my lip, grabbing my bowl, turning to get up and sit somewhere else, but he put his hand over mine looking at me with brows furrowed. “Where are you going?”
“I was just going to sit over there?” I told him, pointing to a chair over the other side of the room.
He shook his head. “Don’t.”
I bit my lip, sitting back down in the chair, continuing to eat my bowl of muesli, yoghurt and fruit. When I finished eating, I sipped at my drink, waiting for Sterling to finish, while I watched people come and go from the restaurant, realising some were human and some weren’t.
Sterling set his knife and fork down, sculling the rest of his drink, stood up, looking at me expectantly. I gulped down the contents of my drink, standing up, following him out the door as we walked along the beach in silence.
“Come on,” Sterling said, grabbing my hand as he pulled me along the beach and I followed him into a small building set back slightly from the water, he pulled me inside.
It was a hire place, Sterling walked straight up to the desk, leaving me at the doorway, he said something to the guy behind the desk and the guy nodded, when he came back he had hold of a stand-up paddle board and a long paddle, he handed it to Sterling, who took it, the guy turned around and disappeared again. Sterling walked over to me with a smiled and passed it to me and I awkwardly grabbed it, fumbling, trying not to drop it, and the guy returned with another, Sterling took it.
“What are we doing?” I asked as he walked back to me.
He smiled down at me. “Having fun.”
I laughed, rolling my eyes at him and followed him out to the lagoon, he placed the board down in the water, I copied him, he stood up on it and I stood up on mine. He started paddling further out into the ocean, I paddled beside him, looking out at the reefs.
A large sea turtle swam around beneath us. “Sterling!” I exclaimed loudly. “Look!” I pointed down into the water where he swam about.
Sterling peered over me to watch as it passed by under my board, he smiled at me. “That’s pretty amazing,” he told me, leaning over and pressing a kiss to my lips quickly before we paddled off, looking at the wonders below the water.
I couldn’t believe how amazing he was, I’d always wanted to do this but never got the chance or opportunity too, and now here I was, with the hottest man I’d ever seen and he was taking me paddle boarding, I’m not sure if he even knew.
“I’ve always wanted to do this,” I admitted to him, a blush crawling over my cheeks.
“Really?” he asked, his eyebrows raised.
“Yeah.” I smiled up at him. “Thank you for taking me.”
Sterling smiled at me. “Anytime.”
We stood on the boards, watching the bright colourful fish swimming around, stingrays and reef sharks gliding through the water. It was amazing and one of the best days I’ve ever had. The coral reefs were beautiful, the water was calm as it lapped around the boards and we must’ve been out here for hours, but I didn’t want to leave. We could be out here together, without worry of being caught, without worry of the world, it was just us and the sea life that swam beneath us in the lagoon and the way we felt in this moment.
Smiling up at him, my heart feeling like it was going to burst with joy as I watched the way he leaned over the board, pointing out all the colourful fish, naming them like the nerd that he was in amazement and awe. It was the best feeling in the world, I wanted this moment to last forever.
Chapter 11:
We paddled back to the bungalows, Sterling picked both boards up and put them on the deck. Such a gentleman!
I pulled myself up on the deck, he passed me a bottle of water from the mini fridge, and I uncapped it, guzzling it, laying back on the round daybed, Sterling laid down beside me, putting his arm around my waist.
“That was amazing,” I told him, referring to the stand-up paddle boarding.
“I’m glad you had fun,” he told me, a smile playing at his lips, his eyes sparkled golden in the light.
“What made you think of that?” I questioned.
“I thought you would enjoy it,” he replied, shrugging.
I pushed up closer to him, planting a kiss on his cheek. “Thanks,” I told him, leaning my head back down on the pillow, his arms wrapped around my waist and he tugged me closer to him.
We headed back inside to reapply sunscreen, then headed outside to lay back down on the daybed as he ordered room service for lunch so we didn’t have to risk being seen in public again, although he did say we’ll go out for dinner again tonight.
A knock sounded on the door, and he got up, walking through the pocket doors to answer the door, he came back moments later with food.
I sat up and he sat down beside me, laying the food out in front of us and we rifled through everything, eating delicious food, drinking good drinks. “Do you want to get back out there after lunch?” Sterling asked.
“Yeah,” I answered. When we finished eating, we headed outside onto the deck, he lowered the boards into the water, helping me down off the deck, even though I could’ve used the ladder, but I think he was looking for an excuse to put his hands on me, and I didn’t mind.
I climbed onto the board, standing up and paddling off in a different direction than we were in this morning, out away from the people and further into the lagoon. We paddled until the sun set, then sat on our boards as we watched the orange glow of the sun cast its light all over the water, the sky turning a beautiful mix of colours: blue, purple, orange, pink. Stingrays went about their separate ways, along with fish of all different colours.
Standing up with a sigh, I looked up at him with a smile. “We better get back before it’s dark.”
He stood up. “Yeah.”
We pa
ddle back to his bungalow and I climbed up the ladder. “Pass me a board,” I told Sterling, and he grabbed one, holding it up for me and I took it from him, setting it down on the deck, turning back around and grabbing the other from him, sitting it beside the other one as Sterling climbed up the ladder.
“You better go get ready for dinner,” Sterling told me, with a smirk.
I stepped towards him on my tiptoes, pressed a kiss to his lips, regretfully pulling back. “Okay,” I told him. “I’ll see you soon.”
Sterling smiled down at me and I turned, climbing down the ladder, swimming over to my bungalow, climbing onto the deck and headed inside my room.
I dressed in a light green, backless, halter neck maxi dress, with nude sandals, my makeup applied, and my dark hair tied in a low bun at the back of my neck, showing off my collarbones.
Sitting down on the lounge, I unlocked my notebook, seeing heaps of messages from my friends, and I read them feeling slightly guilty, but a part of me didn’t care because I was spending time with Sterling.
9am Anna: Hey what are you doing? Want to hang out at the pool?
9:30am Anna: Hello?
11am Anna: You’re not in your room, where the hell are you? Why aren’t you replying?
2pm Anna: Just checking you’re still alive?
7am Sophia: Omg! I just had the best night with Nic! Thanks for setting us up!
10am Sophia: Anna hasn’t heard from you all morning? We’re all at the pool if you want to join us?
3pm Sophia: Anna is worried. Can you message someone and let us know you’re okay?
I hit reply to Anna, typing out a reply and hitting send.
Tash: Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner, haven’t been in my room all day and just got back. I’m okay thanks for asking. I went stand up paddle boarding this morning and this afternoon. It’s amazing! Get Isaac to take you round at some stage! All the fish, stingrays, and the reef sharks! I even seen a turtle!
